The R7/90 X-Ray machine uses a micro focus X-Ray source combined with a HBI Flat Panel detector, which enables real-time image acquisition with built in image correction to provide a live, high resolution image. Utilising a passive cooling device, ensures a quiet working environment but the detector features a built in temperature sensor for real-time monitoring.

With this, the operator is able to inspect a wide variety of different materials, enabling the ability to see the internal structure of PCBs, and components allowing for real-time detection of defects within the wire bonding inside components, damage to the copper traces or voiding within the solder paste which could cause failures in the PCB further down the line. The software allows for live imaging as well as the storing of images to provide the ability to take images of defects during the manual inspection as a reference for further investigation, if required.
